How do my products appear on Purchasing?

All suppliers can perform a search of their catalogue using the search bar available at the top of the supplier portal home page. This is also a useful tool as you can check the price and status of your products for each buyer. For specific guidance on this, please go to How do I find out if a product is currently visible to my buyers?.

Alternatively, Community Members and Leaders can register for the Demo Buyer for Suppliers which grants access to a special marketplace set-up whereby you can search for your products as end-users would.

  1. Go to the search bar which can be found at the top of the supplier portal home page
  2. Type in the product you wish to check (this can be a catalogue number, manufacturer number, product description or key word) and click the search icon
  3. You can add various filters to help find the product(s) you are looking for. Once you have located the item you wish to view, click on it's description to open up further details.

You are provided with the following information on each product's page alongside the product data you have provided such as description, specifications etc.:

Prices

Each of your connected buyers are listed, along with the price that is offered to them. A price history is also provided for each buyer, so you are able to see the changes in price that have occurred in the past.

Buyer status

The 'Buyer status' table shows the status of this product for each of your buyers. It identifies whether they are currently visible, whether they are set to 'preferred' status by the buyer, and the reason for its visible status:

Buyers are able to set the item status of individual products and this determines if these will be shown on their marketplace. These can be applied to an entire catalogue, superdomain, category or individual item level. They can be set as follows:

  • Selected: the item is selected and will be shown in the Buyer’s search results
  • Preferred: the item is selected and preferred. These will be boosted by the search and will be marked as ‘Preferred’
  • Deselected: the item is deselected and will not be shown in the Buyer’s search results

Demo Buyer for Suppliers

Our Demo Buyer is available to our Supplier Community (Members and Leaders) free of charge and provides you with the ability to log into the Demo Buyer environment and see Purchasing from a buyer's view. This not only allows you to get a better insight into what end-users see, but also allows you to search as a buyer and see how your products are displayed.

If you are interested in getting access to the Demo Buyer, please contact sw.supplier.queries@oneadvanced.com for more information.

Please note that this is not available to Trader suppliers.
